YouTube's New AI Search Watches Videos For You
Finding the exact moment in a tutorial just got way easier.
YouTube is testing a new AI feature called "Ask YouTube" that answers your questions with text and exact video timestamps.
Instead of scrolling through a wall of thumbnails, the AI hands you the specific answer you need.
The details:
Powered by Google's Gemini, the tool creates step-by-step text answers using info from multiple long videos and Shorts.
You can ask follow-up questions in a chat thread without starting a new search.
The AI links directly to specific video timestamps, so you skip right to the good part.
Right now, it is only available to US Premium subscribers on desktop who are 18 or older.
Users must manually opt into the experiment, which runs until June 8, 2026.

Claude can now control everything from Photoshop to Blender right where you work.
The details:
Claude now connects to massive creative tools like Adobe, Ableton, Autodesk Fusion, and SketchUp.
You can use plain English to build 3D models in Blender or edit videos in Premiere.
These connections use an open standard called the Model Context Protocol (MCP).
Because it uses MCP, other AI models besides Claude can plug into these tools too.
Anthropic even joined the Blender Development Fund to help pay for future updates.
