Salesforce just turned Claude into your CRM.

No more tab-switching, no more clicking through dashboardsjust chat with your sales data like you're texting a coworker.

It's called Claudeforce, and it ships with 37 pre-built skills that let you pull reports, update deals, and forecast pipeline without ever opening Salesforce.

But wait, there's more:

  • Cursor now lets you build and deploy web apps from absolutely nothing no repo required

  • Google's new Gemini Flash model makes AI video generation way cheaper and way more controllable

I'm Alex. Welcome to L8R by Innov8.

Let's dive deep ๐Ÿฐ

In today's post:
  • Salesforce and Anthropic launch Claudeforce with 37 AI sales skills

  • Cursor lets you build and deploy apps without touching a repo

  • Google's Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash drops video generation prices by 75%

Salesforce just stuffed its whole CRM inside Claude

Salesforce is ditching its own app interface to live inside Anthropic's Claude.

The CRM giant just launched "Claudeforce" to let you do all your sales work without ever opening Salesforce.

This is a massive shift from clunky software screens to smart AI chat.

The details:

  • The new plugin comes with 37 pre-built sales skills for tasks like pipeline updates and deal reviews.

  • You can chat with live CRM data directly inside Claude, making it act like your own AI Chief Revenue Officer.

  • Salesforce handles all the security and permissions in the background so your company data stays safe.

  • Claude is also taking over as the default AI model across all of Slack.

  • Pilot customers got access on August 26, 2026, and an open beta drops in September 2026.

Why it matters:

People call this the "SaaSpocalypse" because AI agents are quickly replacing traditional software screens. Salesforce knows this, so they are turning into an invisible engine that powers AI models instead of fighting the trend. They want to be the trusted action layer running quietly behind your favorite chatbot.

๐Ÿ’ก L8R's Take: I love this move. Forcing users to click through ten tabs of a clunky CRM is officially dead. If your software cannot live inside an AI chat by next year, your business is finished.

Tabs co-founder Rebecca Schwartz and PwC Partner Amit Dhir sat down to unpack exactly what that means in practice: how pricing model decisions ripple into revenue recognition, forecasting, and financial ops โ€” and what it takes to scale without piling on manual work.

Watch the on-demand recording to get practical frameworks, real-world examples, and a clear path to operationalizing usage-based revenue โ€” including a forward-looking take on how AI will reshape financial workflows. If your team is navigating pricing complexity heading into the back half of the year, this is worth an hour.

Cursor Just Killed the Cold Start Problem

Building a new app just got ridiculously easy. Cursor updated its Cloud Agents to let you build and launch apps without even making a code repository first.

You can go from a blank screen to a live website in minutes.

The details:

  • You can hit 'Start from scratch' in Cursor, and it builds a hidden 'Origin' repo for you in the background.

  • The update connects directly to Vercel, letting you publish your project to a live URL instantly.

  • You get a live browser preview right inside the editor to see your changes in real-time.

  • If your project gets serious, you can click one button to turn it into a normal repository.

  • Cursor dropped this update on August 27, 2026, running everything on isolated Linux virtual machines.

Why it matters:

Starting a new project usually sucks. You waste hours setting up folders, local servers, and deployment pipelines before writing one line of code. Cursor removes all that friction. Founders can now test new ideas and build real products at lightning speed.

Google's New Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash Makes AI Video Cheap and Easy

Making AI videos just got a lot cheaper and much easier to control.

Google dropped Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash, a new model built for serious video editing. It fixes the annoying problem of messy AI clips by giving you real control over your shots.

The details:

  • You can extend scenes up to 40 seconds long, and the model looks at the last 10 seconds of footage to keep the story matching perfectly.

  • Creators can lock in the exact first and last frames to make perfect loops or control camera moves like zooms.

  • You can upload three seconds of reference video so the AI keeps your characters, style, and lighting looking exactly the same.

  • Google added a cheap 360p draft mode for just 3 cents a second, while full 4K video runs you 30 cents a second.

Why it matters:

AI video used to be a slot machine where you hoped for a good five-second clip. Now, it is turning into a real tool for filmmakers. By letting creators test ideas in cheap 360p before paying for 4K, Google is making professional AI video affordable. It means you can actually build a whole movie without going broke.

๐Ÿš€ Quick L8R Summary

  • Claudeforce: Salesforce plugged 37 pre-built sales skills directly into Claude so you can update CRM data without opening Salesforce.

  • Cursor Cloud Agents: You can now build and deploy web apps from scratch inside Cursor without touching a repo.

  • Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash: Google's new video model lets you extend scenes by 10 seconds and control exact frames for cheaper, consistent AI video.
